I second all what KC said that your plans look good. nothing about your build in particular, i wonder how necessary are rear stabalizing jacks, i have them on mine and they are too short, poor planning on my part. yet in general the wheels are withing 2 feet on my rear bumper. i may add them to my front but well put a few miles on her before we decied on that one.

I considered going with rims/tires to match my Rubicon Unlimited, but was concerned with weight and rolling mass of the 31" MTR's (gas mileage is bad enough), as well as the cost (about $650-$700) in rims/tires. I may down the road go to an offroad type coupler and matching rims/tires, but not initially. I did plan for longer stabilizers, and won't be ordering them to be sure until I have my frame in hand.

Well Before the trailer fell off the hitch I did notice when i slept in the trailer that i really didnt like the feel of the front end. it felt to unstable lots of sway IMHO. so i think once i get a few more dollars i will add a pair of jack in teh front area.

A 3500# axle will set you back about $10 more than a 2000# axle. For that you get a much stronger axle, bigger bearings, and the ability to add brakes should you ever desire to do so.

Several people on the forum, Cliffmeister among them, have bent 2000# axles.

I think that the extra ten bucks is well worth the benefits.

Cheers,

Gus
