2nd Intro form KY

Postby drew23 » Wed Jun 13, 2012 12:37 pm

My name is Justin, wanted to say Hi again. I Joined in August of last year and only made one post, Here. Since then I have brought the little trailer home, started stripping for a rebuild and realized it is more hassle than I think it is worth. I have discussed it with my wife and we think that a tear may be in order. I have looked at various plans and think that the Campster12 by Grant is what we are after. It will be the four of us, (Me, Wife, 5yo, and 3yo) when we go camping. We have decided that we enjoy tent camping better than RVing (Currently camp with in-laws in a 30' Jayco), so we think the Campster12 will work perfect.

My explanation to everyone is this, "A teardrop is like camping in a hard tent with a picnic table screwed to its butt." Only plan on being in when it is raining, we are sleeping, or changing cloths, same as when we are tent camping. I do have a few questions so I will hit the appropriate forums.

Thanks,
Justin

Welcome back Justin,

Sorry to hear about your camper experience, but I think you'll enjoy your own homebuilt much better. Plus, we get to see pictures!

Take care,
Tom

Welcome back Justin and congratulations on deciding to build a tear. What a great family project and great memories for your children, not only of camping with mom and dad but also of the fact that you did it in a camper you built yourself.
