KIT MFG. started in 1945 this one is titled as a 1942 Kit company manufactured Teardrop may be one of the oldest recorded and documented teardrops in the NW and is probobly one of the nicest. Mabey a "pre-business build"? It retains its original Kit company frame, specially designed tongue and patented torsion axle and wheels. The golden honey stained wood and fully polished aircraft Aluminum are stunning. The custom comforter, mattress, pillow shams and curtains make you feel right at home. Period correct lighting inside operates off of 12 volt. I am 6 4" and sleep very comfortably with my wife. I have added a fan and a 3 way cig lighter for running power and charging devices. Floors are new and all seams sealed. The original style screened windows are new with smooth working vents and are leak free. The propane tank's brass nameplate was stamped 1945 and is a true time capsule. It has been updated with a new valve and current. The whitewall tires are newer and are blackwall on the backside if you prefer. Bearings were packed 2 trips ago and it tows so smooth at 600lbs. You don't even know its behind you! The kitchen area is spacious without permantly mounting a sink or ice box. We simply organize a portable Coleman sink, cooler and stove. A custom hitch holds a fold away bike rack(supply your own) and removable outriggers for the umbrella and a table. Has brackets and vent/exhaust system to contain generator in gally if desired. The polished stainless BBQ is quick to mount and makes for a quick meal. You could be camping tomorrow in this rare gem.
