Thanks for the reply.

I hadn't really considered that the interior bulkhead mounted
cabinets would intrude to that degree. I was just wondering, as
I'm considering a design that'd use an attenuated mattress length
as a daytime seat and whose sleep length would then be made up
with by a much thinner padded fold-down bench at the end of
the mattress. Your mod was the closest I've seen to that scenario.

Thanks for taking the time to find and post the pics and link.

The design I'm considering is actually more like yours, in that
it is for a TTT [fits my needs better than a TD] and it'd have a
full-width mattress about the size of yours over a storage base,
so that the mattress top will be at a comfortable chair seat height.
The mattress will act as one bench/side of a dinette-like arrangement
opposite a similar sized gaucho/futon like seating over another storage
base etc. For sleeping, both will have thinner-padded wall mounted
fold-down "benches" - very much like, and sized, like the foam topping on
your mod - at the 'foot' of each to make up the mattress length needed
for sleeping. This will allow more move-around-room for daytime use
with 'home sized mattresses' for sleeping. Not the simplest way to do
seating or sleeping but it should be much more functional for the
actual use of the TTT interior.

One of my design goals is to have as comfortable a bed and the most
functional other areas - kitchen, bath - as possible, since I think camping
is much more enjoyable when you can do it with the least amount of
effort and aggravation that you can devise, while keeping in mind that
all designs are actually a sort of compromise. Your mod is very close to
the bed area of my proposed design. It's nice to see it there in practice.
