My faith in God did not fail.

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

My faith in God did not fail.

I had a job in Monroeville to put a piece of glass into a customers home today. I loaded up the glass onto the truck and left my lap top in my back pack which was on the passengers side of the bed of the truck and thought it would be safe there.

I had plans to stop at Kings Restaurant to use the internet and have breakfast as I often do. When I got to Kings I went for the back pack in the bed of the truck and it was gone.

Very disappointed I decided that there was no chance of getting the pack/laptop back again. I just went on and decided to just speak to God about the loss. I said Lord it is in your hands I can't do anything about the loss.

However I did think about that even if I did find it what kind of condition the laptop would be in.

Well I got the glass at the customers house in and decided to at least look as I drove back on the parkway.

On the way back to the office I was searching across the parkway to see if any trace of it could be seen. Then just east of the Penn Hills interchange

I spotted the pack on the berm of the highway and my spirit was lifted. Not for long though as I returned to the spot and only found the tattered pack and no laptop inside.

I drove back to the office and told everyone of my loss and said that just maybe a passer by might have seen it and picked it up and will return it. Well everyone gave me the usual strange look like right Russ they would return it. Yeah Right!

On one occasion I actually prayed that the Lord would return the laptop by start of my showing. Would that be possible? I had faith that he would do this. I really did.

Well I had a showing today at 7:00 pm and I was to be there at 6:00 and fortunately I had my old lap top and no mouse so I went to Radio Shack and purchased one. On the way back to the trailer I pulled into the paved parking lot to do a U turn to go to the trailer to get the old laptop and just as I pulled into the lot at the front door of the office I met a man walking, headed right for the closed doors at Bon Air with a silver aluminum case in his hand and a letter in the other. The letter had my Bon Air address on it. I immediately knew the time as being 6:05 and that the Lord just layed a miracle on me and that he was listening to my prayer. I thanked the man and told him he was just used by God and that I had nothing in the way of a reward to give him but told him if he was interested that I would give him a complete set of my DVD's in return. He said yes and thanked me back.

The main thing I thought of was the request that I had asked the Lord to have the case/laptop be returned by the showing. Thank God he is always there and listening. God did it all in less then one day.

His first name was SILVIO. My wife's name was Silvio.

Oh! I forgot to mention that the man said he found the case out in the center of the right lane of the three lane highway.

No doubt about it, God is good, and he rewards our faithfulness.
