I really like that wooden plane. I have a brace of 5 planes that I use. the two you see and a #4 stanley knock off, a #5 Stanley Bailey Knock off and a real #6 Stanley Bailey. I usually just plane down a hunk of wood just for the curls, the sound and it seems to really help my bad shoulder. Sounds crazy but that is how it is.
Here is the outfit I got that plane from. It is by far the most expensive one I have. Cost more than all the others combined. But it is a sweety.
PlanesI have 3 others that I haven't cleaned up and repaired yet but no rush as i have those sizes already covered. I would really like to get a Blum jointer. The past few weeks I have been making little bits from a board of sycamore that tried to become a propeller. I get one side reasonably flat and then send it through the thickness planer to bring the other side to parallel then it can be used. My shoulder feels good after hacking away on that board.
