I used 1-1/2 thk blue foam, too.

Here's a trick that worked surprisingly well when dry fitting foam panels into the void spaces of my floor frame. We were concerned that if we pushed the foam in too far, that the snug fit would make it very difficult to get back out when it came time to apply the contact adhesive.

Use panel suction cup handles!

Some say that the glue is overkill, but, like Augie, I wanted as much panel strength as possible.

Thanks KCS and nobody, that's exactly the info I needed. I was concerned how the insulation would stand up to being exposed and if it needed some type of protection or coating. Nobody's pics look like it held up pretty well.

I particularly like the third photo - "look at me, the strong man, lifting a whole quarter sheet of foam right above his head"..... :thumbsup:
