Here we are several weeks later I am drinking red bull every day. No coffee. And today I am quitting . It just before 9 am here and I am starting to want it real bad.

I will check in Wednesday I let you know how it went , the worst time for me is about 2:00 -3:00 pm. :frightened:

Day #1

Kirk, if this is the biggest addiction you have to fight (not counting Coleman), you'll be OK in the long run. You'll find a way. Think moderation first. Now about that Red Bull.....

I'm like others, most of my bad habits are behind me now. But then I personally don't consider coffee a bad habit, so I keep another in place to fill that category space.

Pilot has the best Coffee?!?

Guess it was different when I was an OTR Truck Driver back in the day..Of course it was free with a fill up (300 gallons) and I had a 96 oz mug to fill. Strong and Effective would be my description..

 , that's a good description. Tasted a bit like battery acid after a while but you didn't have to worry about your eyes closing any time soon...

I think some of those places filtered the coffee through used fuel filters :?

Here I am. Coffee free. Red bull free. Just one diet pepsi in the morning. And a 32 oz diet pepsi at noon. I can do this! Or not.

In New York that's twice the legal limit ...

Slow withdrawal is the best way for most addictions.
I used to be a coffee fanatic with many blends and high dollar stuff...
Now just one or two cups in the morning. Lots of water during the day and a beer or three in the evening.
the tough one was the cigarettes back in 1995...four packs a day and quit cold turkey! Glad that I did it then when they were 50 cents a pack.

Keep up the good work...32oz soda every day... :applause:

Wow 4 packs a day! I quit smoking feb 4th 1994. I went from 2 1/2 packs a day to zero. cold turkey is the only way I could do it.
I still love my coffee and thats one habit I won't quit. I need to cut back on it alittle but not quit.
