Stage 3 Fire Restrictions

Postby Catherine+twins » Tue Jul 03, 2012 6:58 pm

Stage 3 went into effect today in our area, all of the Park Service, Forest Service, and county camp grounds are closed, no fires including gas stoves on public lands, and all the rest. My kids don't want us to use the charcoal grill in our back yard even in stage 2, and with the current heat we don't even want to eat outside. I think state camp grounds may still be open (at least I saw lots of RVs heading off for the state lakes this afternoon, so those drivers are at least thinking that), and private sites. The county fireworks show is also cancelled.

We had about 0.1 inch of rain last night, but it was dry within hours. So far our rainy season is just a tease, and a dangerous one with dry lighting storms!

Come on, let's do some more rain-dancing!
:woohoo:     :rainy: :dancing: :dancing: :rainy:

You know it's dry when the raindrops bead up and sit on top of the dust ... still raindancing.
