kampmaster on a harborfrieght trailer?

would I possibly be able to use a harborfreight trailer to build a kampmaster and how much would it weigh?
I was thinking i could use a 12oz cotton duck for the roof and skin on a 3/4" sanded plywood frame to possibly make it lighter.

I am starting on a "Wild Goose" on Thursday. The Wild Goose is very similar to the Kampmaster but uses hard board instead of aluminum. The hardboard will be cooler in summer and warmer in winter. I will be building off of the magazine article as I will be making many changes. So far using 1/8" hardboard for the walls instead of 1/4 the plans call for I am at about 650# without the trailer. This is with a 3 foot longer trailer than the original to add a bath/shower. Plywood is heavy and even 1/2 " is probably overkill.
As for the use of a Harbor Freight Trailer you can't go wrong for the price. Since their trailer is only 8 feet you can order from Harbor Freight an extra 2 side rails and and extra cross beam. You can't get the same price at the metal supply. You will have to move the axle to the rear but that is only drilling some holes. I did this to build my 12' flatbed trailer and its easy, fast and cheap. Depending on your build material (plywood is very heavy) You could get by with the1190 gvw trailer($299) but if in doubt get the 1700# one ($349). I would love to see pictures of your build! I am about to begin my wild goose as well. Have a couple of full weekends to get through first, then the adventure begins. I bought a used pop up camper for $200 and tore it down to the trailer frame. Wish it were 2 foot longer, but I don't want to cut it up and weld more in and have to move axle... I'd rather make do

Isn't the Wild Goose and CampMaster one in the same. I think one was sold in a kit form and the other was sold built ready to go. Any how I think you could make it any way you want.
