I am guessing the color is probably the biggest hurdle . . .

For me, the size was too small.
Unfair to come to any conclusions though, as many of my friends have 4' wide teardrops and are very comfortable in them.
I did consider your trailer, but passed because of the size...and the odd look of the lines of the roof and door coming together.
I'm not trying to be critical, but you asked.
It is a very nice trailer, it just didn't "move me" enough to drive to Florida.

Rob
The color is a little ways off from mainstream, and might be an issue for some, but if the trailer was 5 wide and the lines didn't look as they do, I'd have bought it, regardless of color.

Thanks. I didn't worry about the color since 2 hrs and a gallon of paint can fix that. I'll paint it white this weekend and maybe a stripe around the top to soften the lines.

Ok, how about a little trompe l'oeil painting to knock the corner off the door and make the top of the door follow the roof line. I think it will work, anyone else? I'll post the real thing when I'm finished. I'll probably white out the spider, too.

Great illusion!

Guess I should have thought of that...

Your representation looks good.

The spider, while appealing to some, and kind of neat with the VW emblem, may be a concern to some potential buyers.
(Who will I be dealing with...?)

I still think it is a neat looking trailer.

The white helps a lot I think. I like the VW/spider logo but I'd lose that too to broaden your appeal.

I think once you do that you'll get a new wave of interest I bet -- might have to drop the price down a little due to the 4' width.

Thanks. Life got in the way and paint did not happen. I got it all cleaned and sanded, so maybe I can work on it after work.

A nice little trailer at a nice price. Maybe too little for some, but just right for me, I think. PM sent.

Aw man, someone saw I was responding to the last post that got deleted. Now I can't post and have a little fun with one who asked the question: Where were you a month ago?

Sorry that was me. I deleted because I figured nobody was much interested in my whining. I think the seller may have an update for us in a few weeks. Isn't that the teardrop way? Finally finished it, trying to sell it, and still tinkering with it.

The thing is, this thread has been running sense FEB. You must have just skipped over it when you were looking a month ago.

I don't know about other viewers but I just like looking. I think my sister may be getting the bug so I will direct her this way. We have family in Florida.
