I don't know how I missed it, but your teardrop(s) are coming along nicely. I agree with you - while the 10-footer GenBen looked good, the 8-footer is a classic profile. I think you made the right choice. Congrats on the new TIG welder, BTW. Your first welds with it look gorgeous.

Thanks Tom. I am at a stand still about a few things like planning out the wiring and skinning options. But I will figure it out.

As for al welding, here is a pic of mine. It was a little too cold and too much cleaning action (a/c balance was off). I round my tungsten off on my bench grinder before welding al.

I know it's been a while since I've done a update, but I have been pushing to get my SM done.

Now that I am just waiting on wheels, I have done a little work.
My SM.:

My fan/roof vent came in:


Then I fitted my back cabinet wall and the front one that the counter will sit on:


Then I started working on the hatch. It was a pain in the butt. But I still have to skin the outside with plywood, that I will do this evening.

Sorry for the lack of updates.

But unfortunately my teardrop has been trashed. Bye bye. Reason being is I am going through a divorce, and the teardrop had to suffer the axe.

So I am at square one again.

I am trying to buy a teardrop from a guy on here. I am not saying any names, but if he decides to sell, then this thread will be closed. If not, I will start over and build #2.

Anyways, I finished my supermoto.



Then I went to the mountains and blew it up.

Well, that's my update. More to come either way.
