Your build is looking great, very good workmanship. I leave in the morning to pick up my new trailer in Douglas, GA. I hope to get started on the build this weekend. Will post lots of pictures if I figure out how to. Once again, you are doing a great job. :applause: :applause: :applause:

So I have my outdoor kitchen complete now with this new add on of a outdoor stainless sink it is portable it folds down to a size of a large briefcase. I have a electric water pump for it and it will work nice for hookup on the water tank I have where I can use for the shower and now for the sink as well. I should be all completed with my CT by the weekend and will have final photos once all completed. I ordered a XL twin mattress for the platform I built for it. More to come. : ) But almost done so I can start enjoying it and go camping with it.

Looking really great. :applause: Where did you find the sink. I used to have a Coleman Camp Kitchen that looked very similar to that, but it was aluminum and had a plastic sink. I am thinking about the next phase of my build and that might just solve some problems.

I hope that the weather is decent for your trial run this weekend. :worship:

Clever idea with the air conditioner, BK - not taking space inside.

I look forward to hearing about your shakedown camping trip! :D

BK,

I would think your title probably reads "Enclosed Trailer", therefore I doubt you'll need one.

Well, its 98 degrees out right now and I'm not doing much. I do have everything layed out on the floor and it looks good. I'm still putting together my materials list. I'm going to do the floor in 3/8" maple and all the cabinets in 3/4 " maple flooring. I got the 3/8" for free and the 3/4" at 10% above dealer cost before I retired from the flooring business.

The A/C is kinda overkill it will heat and cool up to 1200 square feet. And weighs only 42 pounds so not much weight. I did on the outside due to the hot air it was coming off it I didnt want that to blow inside the CT. So I have it mounted and portable on the outside. I will have photos of that setup it is pretty slick creative way of doing it. The bed does slide out I wanted it to be portable so I could use it as a toy Hauler as well. So it latches in and out.
The rear ramp door is insulated and also with the carpet on there it is double protected now. I wanted a clean look inside I didnt want to see any wires. Looking at the inside it kinda reminds me of a tiny house from tumbleweed have you ever seen those. That is what I was shooting for and I think it came out very similar and cozy like one. : )

What kinda water pump you using I am picking one up at lowes and it will work great for the outdoor portable kitchen I have for camping and also work great for the shower, I am excited to go camping I have two privacy tents one is for the bathroom for the toliet that even flushes : ) and then I have one tent for the shower which I have a tankless water heater for that so in the colder season I will have hot water : ) And also hot water for the sink for the outdoor kitchen.

BK,

Wow what a great build! You have accomplished more in a few weeks than I have in two years. :applause: Lots of ideas for me to steal... err uh I mean learn from. ;) I love how you did your a/c unit. A great concept to free up space inside the CT when camped. What type of a/c unit is that (brand and model)? Did it come with the two hose arrangement or is that something you fabricated? I ask because that's one of the things I am not all that happy about, that being how much room the a/c unit takes up inside the CT. I could easily rig something similar but run the hoses underneath to the holes I have already cut in our CT floor and through them blow cooled air in and up.

Again, great job, great build thread, and thanks for posting it here. I hope you have a great first outing with your CT.

Thank you and check out website for more info on a/c I have the cr 7000 one they make a smaller one also

BK

Thank you for the a/c web site link. As I suspect you know I have tried to make the portable a/c unit I bought work. I improved its performance but for a 8 BTU unit used in a 6x10 CT it should do a lot better than it does. In short, I am still not happy with it. I do not want to go to roof top unit for reasons previously stated in my build thread. Please let me know how your a/c unit works for your build. I will use what I have for this summer season and then reevaluate our needs.

Again, thank you for the link.

I went with a shurflo 1gpm faucet pump single with an Ambassador Trinidad Elite Folding Tap so i can fold the tap out of the way for storage when im not using it for camping in.
I have a 12v outlet on the front im using my Big Kahuna portable unit with for a shower with a home made water heater that I use on top of my camp stove, i had extra stainless laying around and picked up a cheap heat exchanger with some quick disconnect fittings! Ill set it up and take a pic! i bought a shower tent also and a 10 x 10 easy up with walls at Costco. I cant wait to get out and try it when all is done. Im mounting the roof rack on now so ill have a platform to haul kayak, paddleboards on..
How heavy is your bed assembly? Im using e track for the bottom queen and a single bunk on the top so when im on the road i can sleep inside and still haul my stuff inside..
