The last time I did the bird walk I wrenched out my neck...

So Doug and I talked a while back about doing some demonstrations related to decor for our tears. Doug is considering doing a demo of a quick but impressive pillowcase and I will do a demo on how to make a simple camping bag to store your rugs, awnings, tables, clothes, games, anything you don't want to get dirty, or get your teardrop dirty when traveling. Then we will do a walking quilt and teardrop decor show for all interested. Maybe two on Friday? Other time suggestions?

I will also do a bird walk on Friday at 8:30. Meet at the cook shack. And no, you will not walk like a bird, except for John. We will look for and identify birds. Bring your binoculars if you have them. Can't wait, I am ready to go now (mentally, but got to get the tear ready).

Cocktails and cards,anyone?
Oh, wait, I just turned into my parents, may they rest in peace. Wonderful people, becoming them wouldn't be a bad thing.

For those who are interested we could also hold a progressive Cocktail party, going from trailer to trailer for drinks and snacks  :wine: it would also be a good time to get the "put a face on the teardrop contest signatures"

I'm in for both. Don't know how to play canasta, but might be able to learn in a hurry as its probably in my DNA-parents and grandparents played all the time! I love the idea of a progressive cocktail party! :picklejuice:

I think the progressive cocktail party sounds like a lot of fun. And so does cards or games. Any other misplaced midwesteners play Euchure? Maybe our parents had the right idea after all! :D

I saw photos of past IRG gatherings and saw some kids. I will have my grandson with me as well as Daisy our Lab. Is anyone else bringing kids? If so are there any planed activities for them?

We will be bringing our 2 children. Josh will be 11 when IRG rolls around and Vanessa is 5.

Make sure to bring some swimming trunks for your grandson, also if possible bring a bicycle for him.

So I am thinking about progressive cocktail party. Wine tasting or chocolate martini at our place.

Okay, I'd never heard of it; so, I had to look this one up:

chocolate martini
Source: http://www.drinksmixer.com/drink302.html
A chocolate martini is a vodka drink that also uses chocolate liqueur and creme de cacao. Some recipes also include half and half to the drink. Since the drink is not made with gin, it is not a true martini.

...Sounds yummy! :wine:
