Purchased new in Sacramento, then to Sioux City, IA, this mostly complete, original 1959 King Richard's has found a home near North Branch, MN. It
will get a good cleaning and going over, a set of tires and axles greased, and hit the road! Winters are long here, so the frame-off can wait 'til after
camping season. Thanks to TRP, and kellerdk for their guidance toward this aquisition! Mike

Cool! Glad you picked it up. Should be nice when it's all done. Hell, it's already nicer than mine! HA!

If it had been closer to California, I'd have picked it up myself. What's the first step / Next step?

You didn't tell everyone about the dishes. Tell 'em about the dishes!

I can't wait to see how it turns out. Are you going to tow it behind the old ford?

Ted- Look at it this way, you're already on the build-up, and I haven't started the tear-down yet! This trailer is in usable condition, but I intend on doing a
complete frame-off resto, eventually. In the last couple days, I've reset the ride height (tires were rubbing tight against the fenders), removed wheel hubs,
and will replace axle seals (bearings are like new), and put on two new tires (one side 600x12, one 155x12, two inches difference in height). Going to go with
Carlisle Sport Trail 5.30x12, 1050 lbs. cap. each.
Next will be to construct inner framework for galley hatch door, and install a waterproof hinge. Someone put a real nice stainless piano hinge on there, at some
point, and I'm sure it leaks like a sieve. Thus, the rotten wood in the galley. The bottom roll pan below the galley door appears to have been damaged and knocked
off, probably by backing into a curb, or rocks, so I'll start building the wood frame there and make a new skin for it. That part attaches to the bottom of the sides,
which are damaged also. So begins the slippery slope. The outer skin is 100% salvageable, IMO. I'll make a new floor and sides, eventually.
I've started another thread in General Discussion forum titled: "How Many King Richard's Are Left?", and will post pics and progress
over there.

To answer your question about the tow vehicle, yes, the Model A coupe will be one of the options. I still have to fabricate a
hitch setup, but have a design in mind already.
