Hi Everyone,

I had never even heard of a teardrop trailer before this morning, but I haven't been able to stop reading about them since I saw my first picture of one. I can't beleive you guys build these yourselves, it looks so cool. I have already started planting the idea of building one in my wifes head, so cross your fingers I'll get the OK soon. This place looks like a great resource. I've been reading as much as I can, right now I am just daydreaming about what I will build, so many possibilities, and I wont have to sleep in a tent ever again! Look forward to meeting everyone, also, I love all the pics, cant wait to get started on my own!

Hello from the other side of the mountain. I may need to come up to Grannys for a shake. Once I get the vinyl finished I should bring the trailer up. Some things to think about is the sleeping arngments how long and wide. While you can build a 4x8 on a harbor frieght trailer a lot go 8x5. I went with 5x10 can sleep 3 comfortably. Also the galley with all that goes there. Are you three season campers a lot of people insulate many different ways to build. Also depends upon your skills. Robbie in salt lake are just finished his and psbreen in layton are almost ready to put a roof on. Also I forget the name in riverton is building one too. A lot of good advice out there.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Wife gave me the ok to start after we get back from vacation in mid august. I can't wait to get started. Right now thinking of going with a 5 x 8 and for the most part follow the generic plans posted here. I am hoping to spend a lot of time and make it look really nice. Hoping to finish it by the start of next spring.

Thats great to hear there are so many Utah builders on here. If anyone wants to get together I would love to take a look at what you have got done, and if you want some free labor I would love to help in any way I can. Hopefully helping someone who is building will help me to get a feel for what I have ahead of me.

Cheers,
Chris
