Another insulation question please. Worried about rust.

We have the new CT, and it's time to act. Remove the plywood walls to insulate using a combination of Reflectix and foam board.
*Is it OK to apply the reflectix or foam board directly to the inside of the trailer skin between structural members, including the ceiling? Or do I leave space because of condensation causing rust?
*Which material should go toward the inner area? The foam board or the Reflectix?
*Are the doors practical to insulate? I would think that to not insulate them would be a mistake.
If I hard wire our trailer for 120V, I plan to use surface mount PVC conduit where I run wires.

Hello Don,

I glue the foil faced bubble wrap directly to the inside surface of my CT. I then followed that up with RMAX foam board which was also foiled faced on one side. I then took metal duck tape and sealed all seams. In the cracks I sprayed expanding foam. The walls of my CT were also insulated with RMAX foam board. I ran the AC on low cool on it first trip out with the outside temperature in the mid 90s it Keith the CT at 70 to 72. My CT is a WELLS CARGO Autowagon.

I also painted the steel ceiling and side ribs with some black primer/paint as they were bare steel...didnt want condensation and rust..

Recently purchased a lightly used 2011 Haulmark CT. The original owner bought it November 2011. When I removed the plywood paneling to insulate, I found the steel supports covered with surface rust. Didn't like that... especially since I live and camp at the beach.

Found the best price on eBay. Now I'm back on the insulation project.
