Here's a real late update. When the Nomad was first built, the axle set up didn't allow it to be removed from the garage without either, (1) dropping the tires down to ~5psi, or (2) swapping them out with my utility trailers wheels, or (3) putting a whole lot of fat guys in it. Now that it has almost 2 years of use and several thousand miles on it...the axle set up now allows it to fit through the garage door opening with no adjustment, as long as I am using the low profile jack dolly wheel I cooked up. It's got like maybe 3/8" of clearance. The whole thing is...a torsion axle with a little bit of time on it, will sag/settle in a bit. Glad that happened...while the tire changeover wasn't all that big of a deal with an air gun and a floor jack...it's nice to not have to do that. Just what I've experienced. FWIW Doug

It's kinda getting off to a slow start, but I've gathered up a lot of the necessary parts so far, (not shown). The axle came in with a dinged up stud and a rear seal that wasn't seated, so had to take it apart and take care of those items. Hopefully will have some steel yet this week. Doug

Sorry Junkboy...didn't see your post. Other trailers are the American Voyager, Rocketear, Road Titan and the Comet. Dig through my album for all the pics. I think I only really did a comprehensive journal on the Nomad. The others were when I managed to get things done. Thanks for the compliments, and get going on your build! Doug

Dang it. I knew that's what you were going to say. Corker's are so expensive. I'm looking for a modern white lettered tire that I can have buffed down to a wide white.

How about a modern whitewall and widen the wall?

Ted.....I happened to order them through Coker, but they are BFG Silvertown Radials, 185 70R 14 with maybe a 2.25" whitewall. You can order them through just about any tire shop. Chances are, they don't have them sitting around. They aren't inexpensive however. For me, it's the look I wanted. Doug
