Well kids, this weekend we kicked some butt! The roof is on!
I ended up with 5' wide .063 anodized aluminum for our roof that's a bit over 1/16" thick. We thought it would be pretty hard to make the bend but it worked out well. We did contact cement it to the plywood too.

You can see how rigid the aluminum is sticking out over the galley before trimming.

My doors all contact cemented up ready for trimming.

This dark shot of my brother and I is right after we finished routing the vent opening. He's the one holding the little router. I'll bet we cleaned up about a pound and a half of aluminum sawdust.


Here she is all ready for trim!

And here are the doors all trimmed up too. Now I have to get the hatch aluminum pre-bent and installed.
