1 year old 6x10 CT

Postby Lesliedgordon » Thu Aug 02, 2012 11:56 am

Long time lurker...first post. Hi!

I have a quick question for everyone. Is $1800 a good price for a 6x10 trailer that has been partially finished? We have the opportunity to buy it. The owner put in insulation, windows, and a floor. They camped in it one time and it's been sitting ever since. The exterior looks good and my husband checked out the frame and tires. Everything else looks solid!

Thanks in advance,

Leslie

Leslie, that sounds like a good deal if it's in really great shape. Now you can build it to your own specifications. Good luck!

Sounds good because of the options are already added.

To be sure you can easily find the price of 6 x10's in your area as that is a very common size. Remember you've got options to either add yourself or have the dealer do it for you.

Exterior in good condition, no sign of leaks, frame good? Sounds like a good deal. You didn't mention the brand; some hold value a bit more than others. I would suggest pulling it for a few miles before buying; but that is one of my quirks when buying a trailer. Think you have a chance at a good deal.

Awesome! Thanks for the responses. New trailers of the same size in my area start at $3K!! So this would be a bargain, in my opinion. We're waiting for interior pictures and will drive up to see it again this weekend. I'll be sure to post all the specs as we start our upgrades. Thanks again!

when I have bought trailers in the past I would see one I liked look it over, go home then return
another day with the thought is this what I want?
is it big enought for us to big for us? to wide, to tall, to short, ect.
does it have good materials inside and out Over the past 50 plus years I have
bought about 8 or 10 campers. I have another one on the way now.
I'll tell you my Airconditioner and electrical panel cost half of what you are paying for the trailer
But I'm old and don't, can't build it myself.
I hope you brought it home with you
