Newbies in Northern California

Hi Folks! We're Dave & Christy and we're up in Eureka, CA. We've been eyeing TD's for a while now and are ready to take the plunge! We have a small welding shop (side job) and figured we'd make our own. This website seems to be a little treasure in it's self with all of the information...not to mention, sounds like a lot of good folks out there to get to know. We're interested in trading wood work for metal work if there's anyone close to home here. We'll be uploading some photos into our gallery soon of some of our prior welding jobs so that people can get a feel for what kind of welding capabilities we have. We're excited to start this project! We can weld and cut steele and aluminum....have full metal welding shop, but no wood working tools. We are in our 40's and excited to get involved in the TD community. I / Dave have been involved in Dune Buggy and ATV clubs, but this will be a new adventure for both Christy & I. Looking forward to meeting all of you! D&C

Welcome to the forum. For such a small community Eureka is a hotbed of teardropping. In addition to myself we have at least 3 or 4 other active teardroppers in town and a few more from Fortuna to McKinleyville and out to Blue Lake.

Welcome to the forum from yet another Eureka teardropper.
I'm sure you already have your build ideas in the works, but I gotta throw this idea out there. I have two vintage Kit teardrops for sale, a 1947 and a 48. If you're interested in one of them let me know.
