What a tow vehicle!

They look like they would go together cruising down the freeway at 55 MPH, don't they?

Build your own maximum volume V-nose, an idea that I've never seen done before to a cargo trailer.

Built this one after the Featherlite. It's got a V-tail and a teardrop front. It's a 6' 2" standie. Aluminum skin. Sold it to a good friend last fall with the interior only half done. He finished it.

My next build is a 6X10 cargo trailer and a 5x9 teardrop on a modified boat trailer chassis.

:D Instead of going to the IRG (teardrop and semi-teardrop trailer gathering) again with the lone cargo conversion trailer, I went to the first annual UKULELE UNIVERSITY (Uke U) on a private ranch east of Bend, Oregon with 150 other people all camped out in trailers, camper shells, tents and motorhomes. The workshops were very helpful. We had a GREAT time late into the evenings. The friendship was instantaneous and easy. Many wanted to see my trailer and came inside to check it out. Nice people! (And blessings on Jim, the owner of that fabulous ranch for hosting the gathering!) Here are three photos and a short video of Uke U:

We had a luau the first night:

The entertainment was ethereal and BEAUTIFUL:

:) Life is short. Make ukulele music while you still can. :beautiful:

Sharon,

If you're talking about the difference between a few of the purist elitist supremicists in the former group versus the ukulele gang, it's like comparing lemons to oranges. And the oranges also have camping rigs. It's all good! :D

Prem, Howdy;

Dang, this is a looooong thread.... Started this morning and now it's time for Rascal's
Pre-supper run and sniff the area to see who else has been anointing the area.
Just got the bug to build a CT conversion/fishin' shack. I full time in a 30' 5th wheel
and don't need the aggravation of up-rootin' the whole thing for just a weekend or a week
or so then turn around and re-set it on the same site. Pain in the keister stuff…..
Between what you and the fella calls himself “Gonefishin’”, have both gone fairly minimalist and
that's what I’m kinda-sorta plannin. Haven’t purchased the trailer yet. Fixin’ ta-do that next May
when I need to go back to Central Ut. to clean out a storage locker. Figure I’ll get the trailer in Ut.
Stuff with stored stuff and sell most of it at a local flea market in T or C, N.M. Gotta help defray
the costs some how don’t I???
May need to pick your brain for some ideas in the future, if ya don’t mind, that is…
Thanks for an interesting read.

:) Well sheet howdy hank, you've gone and revived my Featherlite thread!

Sure. Pick my brain all you want. Gonefishin' will probably help you out also.

Idea: If you're going to buy new, get your trailer in Oregon. No sales tax.

:wine:
