Have been reading all the great ideas on this site about 6 months. Am very interested in building an enclosed conversion. is there many of those type coming down. Or are they allowed to. We would like to just drop by on that Sat and just look at all great tear drops and maybe catch a few Enclosed Trailer Conversions if any are going to be there.

Bigbobdallas, by all means come out for a visit and look at all the TD's. If you have any kind of a camper or tent and want to camp with us let me know and I'll get you spot.

Try and at least stay for the potluck dinner on Saturday evening for some good food and meet some great people. Hope to see you there.

Man we are ready to go camping since we missed some camp outs in the spring,
So I took my anger out a bunch of STUFF from home depot, and a trailer frame
I got from woody. so I built a trailer for Rylie camphuh-oh, (glens is better)
but it should keep the weather off her. it will debut at loyd park

Cool! She is probably getting too big for the squeeze and deserves air conditioning too! Glad you are coming out.

I am not sure I will have mine finished or not, I am moving Aug 23rd and will take at least to Sept 1st to get stuff hooked up, then I'll start working on the build. A 3 week build? We'll see... My plans are pretty solid though... Otherwise, I'll be there for the pot luck...

Unless we get some significant rain, no campfires again this year

Well we had a really good rain shower yesterday evening and we live about 15 miles from the park. I checked the burn ban map and Tarrant county is under a burn ban but Dallas county isn't. Hopefully the evening showers will keep coming for a while. I have a lot of firewood I would like to burn this year.

I see talk of a pot luck. What do we need to bring? Or just bring something to eat.

Tom,
It will be nice to meet everyone in person and make some new friends. Hope kids are allowed. I will try and keep them from burning down the whole place. ;-)

You can do whatever you want for pot luck. As we get close to the actual gathering, people may post up what they plan to cook, so we get a good mixture of foods. We are definitely carnivores, so pot luck tends to be meat heavy. But, potato dishes tend to go fast, too. Hummus and falafel, not so much.
