Well itsnow a lot of little things now. Painted the inner edge of the tables. Redid the door seals and put a wider and ticker one on the hatch. Still a gap due to my design. Will need to figure it out. Bit the bullet and cut a hole in the roof for a vent. Took a few passes and some sanding routing and installed the vent. I have a lot of chaulking I now can do with the windows inner seal of the door. So its offical be carefull throwing stuff on the roof. Got upto 105 out here today

Forrest, I feel your pain on cutting the hole in the roof. It reminded me of Clint Eastwood saying "Why would a man jump out of a perfectly good airplane" in one of his movies. You work so hard to get all of it sealed and perfect then saw a hole in it. Just not right is it? Its looking great,keep on doing what you're doing.

You've never lived until you've opened up a 1.75 inch hole in the bottom of the hull of a 38' sloop 2+ feet below the waterline while the boat is IN THE WATER. Now that is a serious leak!

Gus you havent lived until your engine quits right after takeoff at 150 feet AGL and no runway ahead. At least you could put on a life jacket, what do i say to my bride honey jump with no parachute.

Forrest check HD or the blue one and look for Rustoleum Plastic paint, it will work for all but the dome of the vent. I've got some I used on the electric inlet for mine and may do mine that way and then get a smoke dome replacement cover.

I got the smoke dome when I bought it. Love it I am going to see if the white will grow on me

I am going to leave it white. It matches Ohio State color scheme and isnt a distraction, besides my trailer has some white in it so why not. Today i have taken my trailer to works to hopefully show off. well see how it goes I have one coworker that i am always asking wood questions so i hope he appreciates it. Also yesterday i put some polyureathane caulk around the windows and such. i can offically say i much perfer fiberglass. it looks terrible and i hope it does its job. Also took the trailer out to the local runway and took some pics with my camera and the wifes as planes were landing. didnt tie down the lantern as i forgot and the mantle was torn to shreds. Bad Forrest very bad Forrest.


Update: Well teh first tour is done and all around positive comments and how they should build one. Alot of impressed coworkers which makes me happy. One question i got and didnt expect is where is the shower. Good vibes

Fibbed a little Sharon told them that part of the build hasnt taken place and with how these things go sometimes features don't get built.
Gremlin got bored asked where the blue tape was and while I was at worked painted the door trim and the door edges. She also went a little crazy and painted some of the galley where it wasn't painted. Really someone needs to send that kid to summer school I swear one day I'm going to come home and find a puppy teardrop.

Neighbors came over and said it was the coolest thing they seen someone build in their garage. So a total of 5 tours in 2 days.

With the walk in the window next weekend I put the water through its paces. Have a couple of issues. The good news is the pump and faucet and the grey tank all work. One leak so far where the outside water faucet comes into the trailer. The fill port a regular pull out and pour water in leaks. More water on the ground than in the tank. I solved this by sticking a long piece of 1/2 inch hose with a funnel at the end. Not a good plan but for now it works.

Also kids got a hold of a cricut and did some vinyl lettering for the front. I'm not suppose to miss the one 7 missing.

Update: well with some inspiration from my college days; Professors Daniels and Coors at Dayton fluid dynamics labatory and took a 2 foot piece of 1inch od clear tubing and attached it to 2inch pvc to make a flexable funnel. Worked like a charm filled the water tank up and with the exception of tiny leak at the external entery point.

She is 5x10. Galley countertop is 19 inches deep. Adult sleeping is 70 inches with the loft at 24 or so inches deep
