Vintage Trailer Photo

Postby nrody » Fri Aug 17, 2012 12:56 pm

My mom's junior high school friend passed away this week. I was looking through some 35mm slides for her memorial. I found several from the 50's that will be most suitable.
My favorite one I have to share here.

In the photo is Billie(who passed, lower left) My Grandfather(lower right, someone who looks just like my grandpa named Kenny (no clue but he must be an uncle cause he looks just like grandpa)upper right, grandma Henrietta (upper left) and someone named Janet ?
The best part of the photo is the trailers in the background.
The photo was taken at Bouquet Canyon in July 1952.

Great picture!

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

Neat picture! Thanks for posting that one...back in the day, that was a vacation, none of this flying off to wherever or a cruise ship thing. Without the interstate system even a driving trip was an adventure. Doug

cool picture, we had family outings every year when we were growing up and then come home and dad would load up the projector so we could show all the neighbors how much fun we had

I've posted it before, but my vanity knows no limits, so here's me (at the wheel) and my brother in an aunt's 'Dormobile' sometime around 1960 in Wales.

And it still rankles with me that my Dad thought it was alright for him to drive with the sliding door open on his side, but we kids had to have our side shut. :x
