Kitchen Sink Plumbing

Postby dudleydoright » Wed Aug 22, 2012 3:36 pm

Hi All,

I'm wanting to get some ideas on how to run my plumbing for a one bowl kitchen sink. I've got a 6 gallon water heater. I plan on draining to a portable grey water tank outside. Did you guys use pvc with a trap or staight shot thru the floor? Did you use pvc or copper coming into the heater and sink? Did you come thru the wall or thru the floor? All ideas welcome as well as any pictures so I can see how you did it. Would really appreciate you help!!!

thanks,

Mike

I would be easier to just have a small bucket or container under the sink with
just a straight shot as you will empty it before it starts to smell...

The purpose of the trap is to keep sewer gas from coming up

I used PVC with an s trap through the floor. The s trap takes up less space. I also used an abs p trap under the floor for my shower and then tee'd both lines together with a y and a connector to hook to my portable tank. It was pretty easy. I can try to get a few pics tomorrow if you need them. Stuck at work today unfortunately.

Almost forgot. I used 1/2" pex tubing from the fresh water tanks to the pump to the heater and to the sink and shower heads.
