The first person to set foot on the moon has passed away at age 82. His "small step" has inspired countless people to push the boundaries of what is humanly possible. We'll miss you Neil. May God be with you, your family, and your friends.

I was baby sitting my two younger brothers that famous night. I was overcome by the moment and with Mom and Dad not being around I grabbed their 8mm movie camera and shot live that famous first step. Also went outside and shot the moon live with the first time there were humans standing on it. Dad came home and thought it was a lot of money wasted on taking pictures of the television and an object that you just step outside and see every night. Thirty years later Dad had an hour of his movies put on video tape and he picked only those moments that were the best and most memerable. My moon and television shots made that video.

God bless Neil, you have been an inspiration in my life and will be missed.

Neil Armstrong grew upin a town not to far from where I live Wapakoneta Ohio
and believe it or not is where on a small private owned airport I took my first airplane ride
I was about 10 or so long before the moon walk I have visited his musuem that is located there
I have flown over the museum as well as landed where I first took a ride with my Uncle Bill
in his taylorcraft. I like millions watched the landing on TV I remember listening to Walter Cronkite
as astronaut Armstrong took the first step.
He lived most of his life in another town close to me and taught college.
He never went for the fame and fortune he deserved
we all have lost one of the last real heros.
