Here's something to think about on the height of your #2 teardrop. Our teardrop is 5' wide x 10' long x 4' tall. Planovet's teardrop is about the same width and length - it may be 11' long - but the height in his teardrop is 5' instead of our 4'. That extra 1' in height makes his interior feel about twice as big as ours.

You may need a cardboard mock up for her to get a feel for it. 7 wide by 5 high would be huge in teardrop terms. Mirrors reflect the room giving the illusion of a larger space. Two doors with large windows and good ventalation will help with clausterphobia as well. At 7 wide, you could turn the bed sideways with a small cabinet at one end then only 5 feet of your floor space would be bed. The few extra feet of floor space will also give a larger feel.

Mike, my Teardrop was 10' long by 5' wide and 5' tall. I liked being able to sit up in the Tear with some headroom. Even mirrors on the cabinet doors will give the illusion of more room and it will reflect light, which helps with someone who is claustraphobic.

Take your time - get lots of pictures from things you admire about other Teardrops you've seen and may want to incorporate into your own. And that's very cool that you are thinking of Angie's needs.

I have a Little Guy Sport. It is 6 feet wide, with wheels and fenders added, making the entire thing about 8 feet wide overall. It is actually a little wider than my TV! Since this is my first tear, I don't mind it at all. There is so darned much room in it that I have a great time. Since your hay wagon is "only" 7 feet, and it sounds as if the wheels are already included in that, I don't think that it is too wide at all! Go for it!

Towing depends on what your towing with.. Sounds like size depends on her..
As far as length goes.. There is very little difference pulling a 10' or 14' trailer. 14' is a long tear, But still a very small trailer.. When I had a 6x14' cargo camper I could pull it anywhere.. Heck I could take it through drive through windows to pick up food along the way as long as the height wasn't a problem. If pulling with a truck the milage is not going to be much different if any with either a 4 or 5 foot tall trailer. IME length doesn't effect milage much either. In fact my longer cargo trailer gets better milage then my shorter one did. Go figure.. Now if your pulling with a car or small suv then the height and width will matter much more.. Even still I don't think 5 foot height would matter any.... Seven wide would stick out a little though. I have a couple full size trucks and 6 foot wide trailers tuck behind it.. 7 wide is right at the width of the truck if not a hair wider.. With a smaller TV it 7' wide would stick out a little.

My wife is a born and raised country girl (we still live in the country). She grew up riding horses, collecting eggs, going fishing ect. She even barrel raced for several years.. She loves to go trail riding in the mountains be it on horses or our UTVs and has np walking off trail and finding a tree. That said she really like having a bathroom in our trailer.. We camp at places with out bathrooms some times.. Heck sometimes its just an open field on the foot of a mountain.. Its nice to have.. I would check with your lady friend.. Could she live with out a toilet. Probably.. Would she rather have a toilet.. Probably..

Hey Slow, I'm building a teardrop on a popup frame that's 6'4" wide, and even with the wheel wells making the bed area only 45" wide, it feels pretty roomy. It's 46.5" at the tallest point inside and I don't feel cramped - I'm 6'3". I think that a 7 foot wide 4 foot tall teardrop with two doors wouldn't feel too closed in.

Agreed! Especially if you add in two windows in addition to the two doors with windows. For ease of towing, you could angle the roof from the hitch side up for a foot or two until you reach the desired (5' ft?) height. My new little trailer is only 4 ft high, and they angle the roof up for ease of towing, to help the wind slide off it. (I haven't picked it up yet so I can't verify that it really works , but on another thread a teardropper posted that the bigger size trailer that this manufacturer makes that has the same angled up roof, tows really well. That one is well over 5 ft at its highest point. Though I guess technically, it's not really a teardrop...more like a toyhauler/camper)
