Vintage Tin... warning lots of photos!

Postby cuyeda » Sun Sep 02, 2012 12:44 am

It's not trailer related, but you might enjoy seeing at least photos. Invited to a private yard of vintage tin, a handful of us enjoyed trudging through the yard. I was amazed at just the amount of wooden spoke wheels lying around. If only the cars could talk!

Have I mentioned lately that I hate you :)

Thanks for sharing Cliff, I really enjoyed the pictures. Makes me think that collection is somewhere in Central California.

Cliff,

Fantastic!
I grew up near a yard like that...endless hours playing in old cars, dreaming...

Thanks for posting them!

Man, some of 'em look ready to roll!

Check out #72. Looks like a tank of gas and a wrench could get that one to the local drive-in!

Nice!

Just saw pics of a tank like the one in 067 the other day...over on welding web. It's out of a plane.

Glad you folks enjoy the photos. It would be cool to pull a few misc parts from the yard and make a rat teardrop for fun. My project list is over the top at the moment, but it would be interesting to pick at a least one of those to fix up. Surely there are enough parts to make a complete project.
