A funny thing happened last evening, as we were out having dinner with some friends I checked my emails on my phone and I got one from Louisiana State Parks telling me that the site we had reserved (#55) was closed until further notice. Yikes  ! First thing this morning I took care of business. While looking online at our map and roster while the representative was on the phone with me I started looking for another site. Some are not marked on our map but she patiently waited til I found a site. We are now reserved in campsite number 56, real close to the breakfast site, yummy! They never said what was wrong with the site we previously had but it's all good now. Hope no one else has a problem and the sites are getting full if you are putting it off.

Is there an updated map and roster of who is in which site? It is only 2 months away. Will there be a day trip to the firing range? Inquiring minds want to know.

We are less than two months away, so I'm already thinking food. I assume we will do a gumbo, again, for Friday supper.

I have a good recipe for Tasso, which is hard to get these days. I'm thinking of curing and smoking a good sized batch to bring to LCG.

Also, I'd be glad to make stickers and a name badge graphic again this year, if someone like Scott will gather names for the badges.

It's getting time to get some things in gear.

Until I melted around 11:00 this morning, I was cleaning out the stuff that had piled up on top of the teardrop over the winter.

I know what ya' mean Tom - even with three fans going and re-hydrating every 20 minutes or so - it still was HOT! I'm on the finishing touches to on the bumble bee construction-wise - She'll be ready in time for LCG

I will update the map and roster in the next day or two.

I'm sure we will have a trip to the firing range again this year. ;)
