I'm sure it is where I live, but I have only ever seen one little guy for sale at an RV place near my house, and one aluminum home built parks in the city I work in, other tears never. Even on our trip from MA through CT, NY to the center of PA back to the NJ/PA border, back to central PA and back to eastern MA the only tear I saw was tailgating me for all 1,400 miles. I get paid to notice details for a living so I'm sure I didn't miss any.

Middel of August I traveled from Rochester, Mn to Traverse City, Mi, then to Grand Marias, Mi, to Copper Harbor, Mi and home.
A total of 2100 miles. Saw two teardrops on the road. While in Copper Harbor a fellow camper was shocked to "see you return from the other day. But you have a different car". Investigating around Copper Harbor saw another Camp Inn, different model in the Isle Royal parking lot.

The couple returned to Copper Harbor Friday evening, we camped side by side. Our tears were the talk of the camp ground. First experience for both of us meeting another teardrop and Camp Inn in the wild.

In 2 years I have seen 4 teardrops on the road while traveling in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois.

I guess I must be lucky. Did a 3300 mile trip from Illinois to Wyoming and back. I was traveling with another Teardropper from Texas. He has a Camp-Inn. We stopped at the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody and saw a Little guy parked next to a Bigger Guy. Could not resist the picture.

While in Yellowstone we saw 2 tears at the Falls overlook. One from New York, the other was all the way at the other end. They were gone when we got done. Saw several T@B's , one had a slide out. :?

Then we stayed in a small CG by Mt. Rushmore. There were 10 sites occupied. There were our 2 teardrops a T@B and what appeared to be an old original teardrop on a new frame. I waved and said hello to the guy 3 times and he just looked at me and never replied. So I did not approach him. I know there are grumpy teardrop people, maybe I just met my first one in the wild.

(use a David Attenbourgh accent when reading)

Steve, Most teartrops and TTT do best in packs. they feel secure when more than one. when alone a T&TTT are skitish and aprehinsive when metting others. Best to leave alone and then prepare a cobbler an adjusting for winds the skitish teardropper will slowly make advances over and soon will be drinking buddies. Breaking out coleman lanterns as well will help brighten thier mood and give them a path on the way over.

When I went out to Wyoming this summer I traveled about 3000 miles round-trip over 10 days. I saw 3-4 teardrops on the road, plus two at the campground in Yellowstone and one at the campground in Grand Teton. I also saw a T@B, a couple small fiberglass trailers, and several small canned hams.

I see a tear or 2 regularly on HWY 50...more often than not it's Rob and Caryn coming back from camping, fiberglass eggs however....they are all over the place out here. Casita's, and Burro's mostly. I see them all the time running around. Doug

There are 3 above me on the next block all mfg'ed one goes out at times but most just sit like those big camping trailers you see at folks houses and they never move. I almost wonder if they are not become symbols of status now?? But then mine sits a lot too. But I tinker a lot with it and uncover it on holidays. Put flags on it. etc.

Just got back from a trip from coastal NC to San Diego - Vegas - Grand Canyon. Went by southern route near the border and returned by I40. Only saw one tear and it was parked about 5 or 6 blocks from my son's house just off Adams Ave. in San Diego and was a 4 wide red and white tear from RI. But I only drove a little over 7000 miles :o .

I spotted one just up the street from my house. A really nice aluminum home built. I couldn't believe I found one so close. I keep trying to work up the nerve to go knock on their door and ask them about it but haven't yet.

Would this count? It's an example of a jeep pulling a trailer with a jeep pulling a trailer. I just finished a 9000 mile trip with this setup - about 4900 miles with the red jeep and another 4100 miles with the green one. I recall seeing about 3 teardrops on the way.

This is near Dawson City, Yukon Territory. That's "Dredge #4", currently under restoration.

There's frost on that pumpkin! This was taken two weeks ago at the "Mile 0" campground in Dawson Creek, Canada just before I headed back home in Ohio. Someone had a Lil Guy there but I didn't get a chance to say hello.
