I have never in the past 50 years of camping ever been ask for such a requirement.
I have camped coast to coast and border to border.

We have camped in some high end rv parks, no one has has ever said a word or even asked, of course that does not mean they want.

Maybe the unspoken question is - which parks are you staying at that DO require it?? :x

Back in 2009 I had trouble finding a campsite in Jacksonville, Fl. At the time my set up was a cargo trailer that had cargo, and I was sleeping in the bed of the truck with a carpeted bed and cab high toppper cover (fiberglass, color matched). I was turned away from a state campground and a private campground before I just went to a roach motel (nasty rodeway inn - not all are bad, in Asheville they are nice). I was told at all locations I had to have a proper RV.

It is the only time I have ever had a problem camping anywhere.
