Ps: my cordless dewalt drill would have made this 6+ hour job a whole lot shorter if it had been screwed.....
I used to work for an Industrial Distributor for 35years. We sold these pins all the time I was there. Back then they were for powder actuated tools. Now they are probably pneumatic or propane powered. They shoot into steel (I-beams) or concrete.
Another way to get them out would be find a cutter similar to a small hole saw, make a lay over template with the same size hole in it, attach the template with with double sided tape or a couple drywall screws to hold it over the nail. Drive the hole cutter (maybe a plug cutter would work) through the the template thus cutting a circle around the nail head, releasing the plywood from the nail. Filling the holes later with wood plugs after re-installing the plywood.
