TD Jewelry Box

I remember someone indicating a link to some wood worker who made a jewelry box in the shape of a teardrop. I sent my father that link and asked if he could do something similar. The "door" is a drawer that goes all the way through.

I think they are both cute... I'd get bigger wheels on the second one though...

so I guess this is a good time to ask... does anyone know where I can get some 1:6 scale wheels that I can use on a teardrop model?

You got hobby stores down your way? Also, Lee Valley has a selection of wooden wheels.(Or they had...) :thumbsup:

Think of it like this...

A 24" wheel at 1/6 scale would be 4".

An 8 ft long teardrop.... (96") at 1/6 scale would be 16" long. Definitely large enough to see lots of detail...

so for those of us who like to build models... 1/6 scale would be awsome...

That is the model pictures my dad started with. He built it a bit bigger than I expected, like about twice the size.:shock: He's going to try to find some larger wheels. Maybe Lee Valley or one of the others would be the place to start.
