Visit the Upper Mississippi & Trempealeau River Refuges Wetland Gem. The Brownsville Overlook (MN) is one of the best places along the Mississippi River to view hundreds of migrating tundra swans, and diving and puddle ducks in the fall. The Upper Mississippi River Wetlands has been designated a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance.
Directions: From La Crosse, Wisconsin, take US-14/US-61 west across the Mississippi River, crossing into Minnesota. Turn left onto MN-16W, and left again on MN-26. The overlook is located about three miles south of Brownsville, MN along Highway 26.
