Grizz & Goose's trip to France and Belgium A New Report link

Postby grizz » Tue Sep 18, 2012 11:32 am

Well, as you will see this was meant to be a camping trip.....

Well, I guess there are some motor bike riders on here.....

Maybe some of you are on ADV Rider or even UKGSER.com

The link below is to a site called Wild Dog Adventure Riding - Index and is a South African Dual Sport motorcycle website.

My buddy Peter and I went for a ride last week..... the ride report is in the link below.

Hope you enjoy and please do comment...... this is only day one's report so far, they will be updated daily.

Goose & Grizz's trip to France & Belgium..... Our Ride Report!

As a taster.... this was the night before.

We had also written a Pre-ride report.

Cling-On the Wild dog was everywhere on the trip too.

Day two has now been added too.

Enjoy.

Next time I wanna come with you guys. Will I be able to keep up on my Honda 200?

Cheers,

Gus

Thanks guys. It was a blast.

@ Gus, I have to say hat a 200 to 650cc bike would be perfect for this trip.

These big bikes are perfect mile munchers, but small bikes rock when it comes to slow back roads.

Yup, I don't like riding on any street with a speed limit over 25mph. Cars always win when they hit a motorcyclist. :worship:

Lemme know when your next trip is scheduled. Maybe Suzy will let me join you. Will the French be rude to me as I'm "merican" or will you help me pass as a "Saffer". We could always claim my accent (although I don't have an accent, you do) is due to a speech impediment. That will be our story and we'll stick to it.

Cheers,

Gus

Mainly my ego that took a knock.

Picked the bike up and only a small scratch on side of the crash bar.

Just shows you..... it can happen anywhere.

I really enjoyed your tour!

Thank you.

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

Glad you enjoyed it.

Here is the pre-amble to that tour..... it is about helpful shop staff and broken items

Hope it makes you smile too.

I was ready to thump the poor shop assistant though.

I think I know where you were going with the FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.........................

I've been there once or twice myself. Now, though, a simple "opps" does it most of the time.

Cheers,

Gus

I really enjoyed your photos & commentary.

Back roads are a great place to explore. Your beautiful photos make me wish I only had to take a ferry to explore the French countryside.
