New to TnTTT

I am not sure how to post anything.... It said newbies introduce yourself and I have no clue as to where I do that. If this is not the area please anyone direct me in the right place. We just finished building our teardrop. It was not always easy but I did use this site for many references, from sealing the outside to annealing the aluminium. I guess when we say we are done building our teardrop, that is not completely true. The outside is done, but the inside is not. We are stuck on what to use to hold the galley lid up. Anyway just trying to introduce ourselves as newbies. We are from Minnesota and would love to get one camping trip in before the cold sets in. Love this site and have learned so much, and love looking at all the great teardrops.

Welcome to this great site, you've come to the right place and sounds like you are ready to go camping in your new teardrop. Well its not what to use to hold it up but what to use to hold it down in high winds Watch the high winds with the galley door. A friend of mine uses a chain with a spring on it 1 for each side to hold his down and others use bungy straps and some use ratchet straps but most use wood doles to hold them up with pins in them so they don't fall out of slots.

Thank you for the welcome. I would also like to say thanks for the thought on keeping the hatch open. I see they are having a camp out in Wi soon. I think we might drive through and check out all the teardrops. We can camp in ours, but I work Sat. and would not make it in time for a spot. This does not stop us at all from driving through, love teardrops and would for sure brake for them.
