Our 5x8 Cargo Trailer Camper

Postby itschrismck » Thu Sep 06, 2012 5:07 pm

Hi Everyone! New to TnTTT so go easy on me. Wanted to post a few pix of our 5x8 Cargo Trailer Camper & get some feedback.

This was up at KOA Santa Cruz http://koa.com/campgrounds/santa-cruz/

Got a lot of funny looks backing this lil guy in between all the full size campers and RVs then once I had it all set up I got a lot of "that is so cool"

Some of you may recognize this camper (SteveB's).

Is the pop up on top of your trailer an additional sleeping area or is it additional head room?

Thanks.
Jeff

Jeff & Earnest - this is a rooftop tent made by Autohome http://www.autohomeus.com/rooftop/columbus.php mounted on Thule roof racks. There is a ladder on the other side that you climb up to get in. I have had one on my car for years and love it but when we got the camper it needed one too. They are pricey but my 11 year old one looks and works like new. We can sleep 4 adults and 1 toddler. A few more if they want to sleep in the awning enclosure.

I thought that was what you had just had to confirm it. I have admired those. I have seen pictures of those in use all over the world. I think they are really cool mounted on top of a landcruizer camping out in the middle of nowhere. Looks good on your CT.
