Hello every one.

Hi all,

My name is Steve. I am from Ontario, Canada, and live just outside Toronto. I have been lurking around these forums for the past couple of months and like what I see. So I signed up.

Recently I switched from a very small trailer with a tent on it (Viking Express) to a 5x7 Little Guy, Joey. The tent was great but the setup and tear down took way too long. So I switched and I in early August.

I have a small car (Toyota, Matrix) and usually go on short trips with my wife and grand daughter who is now 8 and stressing the sleeping accomodations.

I am still trying to reorganize my camping technique to deal with my new Joey. Due to the size of the car (small) I am forced to transport much of what we need inside the trailer. meaning that I still have setup time.

Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers seems to be a wonderful place to come and learn more about the possibilities of this kind of camping and also meet some freindly people.

Like my User Name... I am Glad to be here.

Hey Steve

“GLAD” you are too. I’m new to TD camping my self. Just reworking a small woody TD I got used. I’m trying to limit
myself to what I can cram into the galley. Not counting lawn chair and 10X10 sunshade. It a lot different style of camping,
but I’m use to sleeping in a minivan on a cot.

Take a look in the “ Camping Secrets “ posting area. You might find some useful tip on how cut down on clutter.

There is a posting area called “ Ontario, Canada “ Camping in Ontario, Canada and the Canadian Chapter of TearJerkers.
Sound like it might have so good stuff in there for you.

Enjoy the forum and the TD.

Thanks guys.

A little more of my story. The setup/breakdown of camp with a tent trailer was taking 3 hours with a high risk of getting all the bedding soaked should it rain during either process. I switched from a small tent trailer to the tear in July to reduce the setup time and the risk of getting everything wet. We got rained out in August and rained on this past weekend. So my initial exposure to teardrop camping has proven that I made a good choice as only the tarp got wet.

Right now I have the Littleguy in the garage with a small heater running to ensure the tear is dry for the winter.
