Dang I need to fly out and bring mine out there from when I was in RA's back well lets say a while ago! We used same kits but we would turn the wheels down to wafer discs and drill holes in them! I had one that was a wedge with the lead in the nose of it and won alot of races with it. Hmm may have to fly out and tent camp that weekend !

I ordered a track today. It looks like I am going to get a super good deal from a vendor so we might end up with several track for the price of one. If so will have a really long track. I will update with pic when I get the track.

Ron you and I both know that an LDS troop of hyper skilled cub scout pinewood derby racers would slaughter a bunch of used up campers. The effort the LDS put into the scouts is unmatched. I speak from experience. It would be fun to see.

The "Gravity Races" at the previous two IRGs were a lot of fun ... ... and I'm looking forward to similar good times with this version! Maybe I'll actually get around to building something myself and having a go at it (after all, I was the regional Pinewood Derby Champion for three straight years when I was a Cub Scout, too many years ago to think about too hard ... ...) ... I just hope that Kirk makes sure there is room enough at the starting gate for a car and trailer, 'cause I want to build a combo ... ...!

Great times ahead, folks, that's for sure!

Thats a great point Grant. I will make sure the starting gate is long. I too am doing a trailer combo. I think we may have to have a seperate catagory for that.

Ive always wanted to build a pinewood derby car but never had the opportunity. After reading this post Ive been on the web for an hour. Researching pinewood derby cars, how to build, rules ex...
I will be lucky if mine rolls, but it will still be fun.
I'm in if ya do it.

Make no mistake about it we are having the race. I have purchased the track and when I say I am doing something I do it. This race will happen if I have to race myself.

I now own the most awesome track. I met with Grant on Sat and it is on for racing. Pinewood racing rules!
