Although the sandbag idea here still hasn’t registered ( I’m “thick”sometimes ) , you just need something to hold the doors open , right? What about those RV door rod and clasp door holder open thingies ... They look pretty easy and Strong .... http://www.easternmarine.com/trailer-do ... hook-dh500

OT... Saw a Great show on cable about “How Beer saved the World” ... Whoa!!! never knew that :o ....Without Beer, we might not be here.. :frightened: More Beer is indicated !!! new Foamie Standard Ballast ( FSB ) ... 650 lb. Beer 8) ...
There’s no place like Foam !

GPW, above quote might explain why those std tie backs would be harder to implement.

Hi Mel,

What about...

Getting some Large "L" or shelf brackets - with at least 1ft long legs - and mount
a piano hinge to one of the legs, and attach the hinged leg to the door or door
frame - whatever is appropriate . That will allow you to fold the bracket up
for travel with the doors closed, and once you need access/park/set-up-camp
you can open the door(s) and fold down the large "L"/Shelf bracket and have the end
of the non-hinged leg simply slide into a very shallow "U" shape catch or such
thus 'locking' the "L"/Shelf bracket in place, holding and stabilizing the door(s) in
place.

And here's a folding shelf bracket that could be mounted and used the same way or
perhaps just mount both legs to the door(s) and the door frame/opening and use the
folding feature as the diagonal stay to hold the door(s) open/in place . It all deprnds
on your clearances etc. as to the specific way/details to do the mounting for any of the
above,

You could also just make a triangle out of scrap wood with at least 1ft long base and
height and hinge one side, as above etc. If you have some scrap 3/4 ply pieces you
could use that to make the triangle. Just be sure to not use the end grain when mounting
the hinge or other hardware, fasten them to/through the face of the ply for strength. It'd
probably be a good idea to also use small nuts and bolts, with washers, through the ply
for mounting the hinge and the catch for the end of the non-hinged side of the triangle
etc..

Just a couple of ideas for your need...

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

I’m still trying to figure out the sand bag proposal ... :NC
Bonnie , French seam ... that’s brilliant !! 8) We’ve long thought of covering a Foamie with a tight fitting sewn fabric cover ... with a nice uniform seam for the “finished” edges... That would work and look Great huh ??
BTW , How’s Bub ?

Bub's great. I'm still cutting away the top portion. My youngest looked at it the other day and her only comment was it looked roomie inside. :) Hopefully more will get done this weekend. :) (Oct 1.)
