lucky is better than smart

Last week one of the tires on my car kept going down but I had to get some test at the VA hospital so I just pumped it up and went on.
over the last weekend it went down again so I decided I needed to get my butt in gear and get some new tires after going on line and finding what I wanted I ended up at sears
they had the cheapest price same tires as those stores that promise free valve stems and free balance, bottom line sears was cheaper.

I started out Monday morning needing gas I passed the first two stations because I knew of one on the way to sears that is always 5 to 6 cents cheaper per gallon.
While on the way the low fuel light came on but I made it to the station where I proceeded to put 15 3/4 gallons into a 16 gallon tank. I was lucky.

while I was waiting at sears the service manager came rolling one of my tires into the waiting room, it was worn down so much the steel-belt was showing
not just showing but I had been running on the steel belt. I was lucky

I then made an appointment to have the front-end aligned at my favorite mechanic's shop he called and said that the sub-frame had rusted through
not just the bushings but the sub-frame. The engine could have fallen down causing who knows what troubles I was lucky

I say I was lucky because I'm not smart enought to even know cars have sub-frames so I was lucky with the low gas and the bad tires and the sub-frame.

the car does handle a lot better now no clunks and bangs and shaking of the steering wheel, I was lucky.

costly but lucky............

The problem with luck is that it can shift in the other direction i.e. the. If I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all.

Glad nothing happened other than the expense
