I'll tell you how new I am. I just installed the very first part of my journey to freedom! Finally put a factory hitch on my FJ. There is no stopping me now! Until a year ago, pushing 50 now, I don't think I have ever really heard of, or even gave second thought to a "teardrop" camper. Now I eat and sleep the very thought of building one.

Please welcome me with a quiet golf clap... It will be just a bit before I get started. I have finally gotten Moonbeam up to the idea, and now all she can do is look up camping sites to camp at! Not bad for a Galveston girl. I plan to start a (4) of most likely a 5 X 8 here shortly. I can get my way around a chainsaw... I have been lurking on this site. I am in uffish awe.

Ah yes, Gilhooleys and Saltwater Grill area. Been to both a few times. Hopefully you can get started soon. We are going to the LCG event at the end of this month, a very good event to come see bunches of teardrops, even it you tent camp. Check out the South Central section about LCG. Again, welcome.
