.
I'm not certain what you are asking; so, others may be uncertain, too.

A canvas tent is warmer than a nylon tent; but, if canvas is used by itself, you're still liable to get pretty chilly in cold weather.
Insulation helps some. Carpet used as interior wall covering would also help. Pioneers used quilts over their walls and windows to fight drafts and cold as well as add color and design.... I imagine that similar ideas were employed in the old Vardos.

something along this lines where the arch can be folded down using a pvc type of pipe so when you get to camp you just pop it into place as I was thinking that it might be a good way to cut down on weight but I still don't want to loose all my heat through the roof of it so if I can treat the canvass with something that still allows it to be plyable and bend I'm hoping some one who knows a lot about it might have some better information for me...I like the idea of blocking the drafts I'm not to worried about that I'd like to be able to use it year round still....sorry if I'm confusing everyone

well I guess its possible to premeasure and cut out a few strips of the reflextix silver bubble wrap insulation and slide it in under the canvas...maybe use a spray adhesive and stick fabric to it to have a finished side inside the vardo... but not gonna be as warm as a solid box unless you have a real good heat source pumping. I was campin in western Pa this weekend and it dropped down into the upper 30's and was breezy...it was cold but my lil vardo is fully insulated, I didnt need a heater... but everyone in the tents did have 1 runnin and were still cold.
