I tend to forget.... we do have more stuff in our mad collections.

Rubber duckies.... originally started bringing them home from bootfairs and used to hide them in Tom's bedroom.

Harley gets to sit and lord over the lot.

Couple of featured duckies.

Haggar and Hilda.

And the collection seems to always be growing.

Holy Cow! Gus
The opinions in this post are my own. My comments are directed to those that might like an alternative approach to those already espoused. There is the right way,the wrong way,the USMC way, your way, my way, and the highway.

I have several small collections, that taken all together might qualify as weird.I have about 13 Hummels,a collection of enamelware,20 or so knives, and a bunch of whisky flasks.A good size collection of homesteading/survival books and enough bluegrass/traditional country cassettes to start a small music store. What might be the weird part, for a man at least,is babyshoes.I have a soft spot in my heart for babyshoes..but I have been able to outfit some babies that didn't have any shoes. So my collection of shoes helps others, too.I have my own first shoes with the original box.I got somebody's money out of those shoes, they've been resewed several times where the seams split. :)

That sounds perfectly normal.

I love the idea of resewing shoes... means the money stays in your pocket.

In the mean time.....

Got home from my New Forest ride today

Ride Report here:

http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/index.p ... c=108295.0

Found a parcel......indoors.... It had been signed for by my daughter who had visited last night and slept late today after we had all gone our seperrate ways this morning, to work, school and for a ride

Kitchen table.

It had been returned to the sender "Copterdoctor" three times due to some customs glitch.

Anyway, VERY VERY Chuffed.

Different Alaskan plates....

Thanks a million mate.

Still think its quite nice for a FREEBIE.

And she loves candy skulls.

Double whammy today.

Been busy deconstructing the kitchen (read: Gutting) today and only just got the post in.

Two large envelopes for me.

Opened them both, one Local, one from Steve Vaughan in Texas.

Plates from his truck for my collection and a Gecko to go with our mask collection, as I have a few already.

Thanks guys.

Had a PM from Wanna Be on the www.tnttt.com website......

"Would you like a couple of my old plates from Nebraska ? "

Of course I would. ;D

So yesterday they landed with some US $$'s to trade for some UK coinage.

Bargain, and thanks Lynn.

Another one of those very random plates to come into my life.

These are quite rare.

I made a comment on another forum when I saw one that someone owns..... a few weeks later I got a PM from someone to ask if I wanted one of these oval plates?

My response was predictable.

Turns out he found it at a tip years ago.... and it had ended up in a pile of stuff in his garage.

Now it is one of the stars of my collection along with my Purple Heart plate.

Thanks Billy !!

Suddenly, I don't feel so bad about my stash of hardwood lumber. Can I show this link to my wife?
