Has anyone checked out this teardrop yet?

We just completed a 26-night, 3200-mile teardrop trip. My first thought at seeing this design was "oh, cool, windows!" My second thought was how much harder it would be to aim that trailer away from streetlights and other all-night lighting.

Now that's the kind of real world feedback I'm looking for. The window open when gazing up at night sounds great, butI hadn't thought of being under a light; that would be annoying.

One of the features I like is the bed that folds to a futon/couch. I'm guessing that on a rainy day, comfortably sitting up in the camper, being able to look out, would be a real advantage.

That thing is COOL. I really like the profile...kinda swoopy!

I'd be interested in how the folding bed is constructed

The website has lots of good pictures. This tear has some nice features that could be used in a self built camper. Big window, folding bed, footwell, tables, lighting, and see-through. But the Vistabule itself is way out of my price range. This is a cadillac and I'm more of a VW kind of guy.

What I see is a lot of window (solar gain) with not one of them open-able. A three speed fan and Vents at the foot of the bed so that fan has to be going all the time. There is also very little storage. The picture window idea just strikes me as not necessary as at least our experience is we don't spend much time inside the trailer.

Just think of the full moon, at 2AM, when you are trying to sleep, or the one at 2 PM when you are trying to change!

I do like the window door table thingie, as long as it is removable, otherwise curtains are more useful, plus you can keep them closed and still get some air. Can you even open that window in the door?

My inflated 2 cents,

Not a fan of the rice paper on the head board storage area. If the windows opened I would really like this design.
