winter project

Postby mobile camper » Mon Oct 15, 2012 11:01 pm

Even when you purchase a trailer there is always work to be done. This winter We are planning on putting in bigger doors, 26x36 from Vintage Technologies. I have been fighting the small doors for a couple of years. And now the fun starts. After the door installation and new fenders, we plan on removing all the diamond plate material, it will be time to repaint the tear. The plan is to coat it with India Ivory that way it will match the car. Just a small winter project.

An interesting thread with open possibilities for others "winter projects".
I have a number of items on the winter list, Pahaqua will be making a custom cover for Compass Rose, and we will have the rear tarp modified with the addition of mosquito netting by them.
I will be working on installing version 2 of the air shocks (poor fit on version 1), and changing plumbing to the pump and perhaps to change location some to make more room for storage.

After totally rearranging the garage so the Escaped2 fits in the garage this weekend, I'll be making a shelf of drawers for utensils. This will go on the countertop, including under the microwave. No more searching through the Rubbermaid tub for the spatula or spoon. Everything will have a place and everything will be kept in it's place.

Hopefully I'll be starting my trailer this winter
There is a world, just beyond now,
where reality runs a razor thin seam between fact and possibility;

Anywhere I roam where I lay my head is home....

Man I like his line of tables. I have look at them for the past year.

I think I am going with a 4x4. So that I can expand to the 8' later. Going to build from scratch using some parts from http://www.cncrouterparts.com/

Mike where you able to get one of his tables? If you did how is it working? I still have not done anything. Maybe sometime soon I have partial plans in my head for build #2 in foam and want to be able to use the CNC to cut it all out!!!
