overhead dome lighting 110v

Postby dudleydoright » Thu Oct 25, 2012 6:58 pm

Hello all,

I need some help......... I want to get 2 dome style lights like you see in most travel trailers, but I want them to be 110v instead of 12v. Any idea where I can get some lights like this or do they even make them? Thanks for the help!!!!!

Flourescent lighting is your best option for overhead 110V in a trailer. Very commonly used. Having said that why not use 12 volt overhead lighting? Very simple and in my opinion much safer than 110 lighting.

that may serve you well.

I went with closet style lights. The chain pull allows me to have an individual off if need be.

They have worked perfect and still give plenty of light compared to the 48" lights that come with an electrical package. I asked that mine not be installed, just the wires were pulled through the ceiling.

Hi Pete,

Trailer is coming along nicely, cabinets are built and put in, counertop is also done, will do some pictures someday. Had to spend 4 days in the hospital this month. Getting older isn't always fun. Hey Barb--- Thanks for the closet pull string lights idea, that's what I'm going with because I too just have the overhead wires just hanging from the factory.
