I'm a newbie and looking for a 5x10. What styles and shapes do you think look best in that size. Post pic please.

Would this shape be considered Mod/Cub?

Hi, Scotty!

This is a Modernistic/Cub shape:

44005

Although this one is 4x10 ... a lot of folks feel this IS the prettiest shape for a 10' teardrop! All the guys & gals in the Five Wide Club up here in NorCal have used this profile for their 5x10 steel-framed teardrops ... and they'll be building one from start to finish at the 20th Dam Gathering of the Tears May 1-5, 2013.

Good Luck with which ever design you choose, and as always ...

Hope I will be there to see that.
If I was building a "Traditional" teardrop it would be a 5'x10' "Modernistic Cub".
Did see one here on the Forum in the past year made completely out of Aluminium????
Great looking Tears!

The Mod/Cub looks like it's closest to an airplane wing profile with no sharp edges at the front and back bottom. The Camp Inn 550 (5x8), is that more of a Benroy shape?

Benroys are characterized by a flat roof and flat front connected by a about a 15" radius connecting them, and a larger radius at the galley area. To my way of thinking (and I'm sure not everyone will agree), the Camp-Inn is more of a KIT/Mod/Cub hybrid (KIT style front with a Modernistic-esque rear) (and I hope Craig, Betsey, & Co. don't mind that characterization too much ... ;) ...!).

When it comes to style, it's really tuff to beat the Mod/Cub ... but when it comes to functionality (and still stay within the traditional teardrop parameters), it's really tuff to beat the Benroy! And, we've seen some really stylish Benroy-esque 5x10 teardrops over the years ... ...!

All IMHO, of course ... :D ...!
