50# really isn't an unreasonable weight expectation, with the proper materials. My friend John's bicycle teardrop-tent-trailer weighed under 25# with steel spoked wheels and just over 18# with Skyway's composite wheels. BTW ... he managed to salvage one nearly complete prototype from the fire (the tent was toast, of course, as were the Skyway wheels), it's nearly back up and on the road again, and he's moving forward with the project!
I really like the "Dream Camper" ... when things settle down around here, I might just have to take a shot at building one for myself!
